We Build Leaders!

At YBLA, we build leaders who will positively impact their peers, families and communities, and that will eventually change the world!

We focus on helping our young people become leaders that are college and career ready. As our young leaders strive to succeed, they are trained to reach back and mentor elementary, middle and high school students. We achieve our goals through Leadership, Service and Education.

Our Programs

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The YBLA Global Leadership Program is an all-new virtual program for young black men and women in the 9th through 12th grades. This unique program brings young black leaders from around the world together. In this program, our leaders will engage with like-minded black youth from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This innovative all-access digital model will allow our students to learn from corporate and community leaders, connect with colleges, learn about the life experiences of black youth outside of their community, and impact others through service.

Coming September 2020

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The YBLA Ambassador program is the organization’s flagship platform. Ambassadors are the face of YBLA, personifying our commitment to student leadership, service, and education. Ambassadors are focused on positively impacting their communities, their peers, and the world. This program is highly competitive and will be delivered in-person and online for 11th graders with a 3.0 or higher weighted GPA.

We have the knowledge, experience and best practices needed to work effectively with young leaders and their families. Our staff and volunteers bring expertise from the corporate, non-profit and education fields. We have forged several strategic relationships with colleges, universities, and businesses that allow us to connect our students to leadership, college, and career-related opportunities.
